The Story We Tell Ourselves

This handwoven series employs the use of floating double cloth warp (black), which breaks up the pure, white ground cloth, creating a stark, repetitive pattern. The black rectangles contain and inform the structure of the plant material it holds in place. These pieces serve as physical exploration of the internal patterns we adopt and allow to give structure to our lives.

Each weaving is 24” x 19”
